What do you usually talk about when you gather together with your friends or relatives? It seems to me that all of us have beloved themes for conversation. For instance my mother likes to talk about cooking (it’s her favourite topic), my best friend adores to discuss the latest trends in vogue and everything connected with shopping, but for my brother beloved theme for conversation is cars.
I visited my brother last weekend. I stayed with him in his house about six hours and frankly speaking I got tired of discussing cars, motorcycles and bicycles. During all these hours he couldn’t stop talking about body tuning, bike racks bargains and about a motorcycle chassis parts sale that he had found recently. At first when we were drinking the first cup of tea it was even interesting to listen to Jack (my brother). But in several hours it had started to annoy me.
I got even more angry (though I didn’t show it), when my brother said that he had some problems with ignition and offered me to look for some sites where it’s possible to shop for ignition parts. While he was looking for such a site I was sitting near him and yawning. It was very tiresome; when I decided to visit my brother I didn’t think that he would spend time on the Internet when I would sit next to him. It was the last straw when my brother occasionally got to find tire reviews and started to read them. It was terrible! So in twenty minutes I said to my brother that I had a meeting with a friend of mine in a cafe and left.
In the end I’d like to say that it’s very nice when a person has a hobby or something that he or she can do all the time without breaks, but it seems to me that you have to take into consideration that other people can not be interested in your hobby as much as you are. So don’t forget about it, if you don’t want to spoil relations with dear people.
