It goes without saying that the Internet plays an important role in lives of modern people. Do you agree? Have you ever counted how many hours you spend on the Internet per day? Then multiply it by 365 days. I’m sure you will agree that this figure really impresses!
But at the same time we can not deny that many people today can hardly imagine their lives without the Internet. It’s a necessary thing for the majority of people. The Internet provides us with a great number of opportunities: it serves as a source of entertainment; it provides us with news; the Internet gives us opportunity to communicate with friends and relatives who live in different parts of the world; it facilitates communication with our foreign business partners, it is a source of information, the Internet provides the opportunity to make money on-line and certainly you can order things from the Internet shops sitting at home.
I don’t know whether among your friends there are many who use the Internet for buying all necessary things, but I have one. Sally purchases almost all the things she needs via the Internet. Not long ago she made some body lotion bargains and Hartmann luggage deals because she was going to Turkey for two weeks. Last month she managed to find bra discounts on the Internet and sent me a link. Frankly speaking it was really a useful link, cause I found lingerie for myself. Every time she founds something interesting to her mind she sends me a link. I have received about thousand of such links during the last three or four months, for example a link to a site where one can buy backpacks for cheap or a link to natural skin care products sale. I really appreciate her care about me, but the majority of links that she sends me are useless, though from time to time there are interesting ones.
In the end I’d like to say that the Internet is a wonderful thing but it shouldn’t replace traditional shopping, communication with friends in reality or watching to evening news on TV with the whole family!
