Today we can freely communicate with friends, relatives and acquaintances, who live in different parts of the world without any difficulties owing to the Internet! It’s much cheaper to speak to them on the Internet than to phone them. The letter you send on the e-mail will be delivered in a few seconds, but it will take days and even weeks before your friend will be able to read your letter if you have posted it. The Internet is the main source of information on various topics as well as the source of international, economic and political news for the majority of people. It facilitates establishment of friendly relations with foreign partners and gives an opportunity to develop your business. Today you can order almost all necessary things sitting at home in front of your computer; and it’s possible because the Internet exist. To my mind the Internet is really the greatest invention of the previous century!
For example my friend was doing a repair last month and she asked me to help her in choosing new lamps. I wore comfortable shoes, because I knew specific taste of my friend (she is a really hard-to-please customer) and I expected that we would visit dozens of shops before she would buy anything. But when I came to her she said that we were going to buy these things on the Internet, frankly speaking I was surprised. Before my arrival she found some sites where one can shop for mini pendant lights and buy table lamp, I approved her choice of pendant lights, but I didn’t like the table lamp she was going to buy. So we decided to look for another lamp. We found nice table lamps for sale in a good online Table lights store. The rest of the evening we spent surfing on the Internet, drinking coffee with tasty cookies and chatting about everything and nothing at the same time.
I really liked the evening and when I returned home I thought how much time we saved using on-line shops and my friend also didn’t have to care about the delivery. From that evening I use the Internet as well if I need to buy this or that thing.
