Well I’d like to start my story with statement that not long ago I was against cars and I didn’t want to have any in my own disposal. You can be surprised, but I thought that cars influence people’s lives, their change their characters and relations with dear people. I had an example among my acquaintances; there are people who really change after buying their cars.
Once I occasionally heard my wife talking to the wife of our common acquaintance. His wife said: “Oh, Katy! If you could only see expression of Dave’s eyes when he bought a car! I haven’t seen this expression since our wedding”. She said that Dave looked like a little child at the moment he bought a car: he was so happy that it seemed to her that in a second he would clap his hands and laugh light-heartedly. And finally she made a conclusion: “So after your husband buys a car don’t be surprised if he says that he doesn’t have money to go to your favourite Chinese restaurant when it’s your birthday but at the same time he will buy different parts for his car like car exterior care products, he’ll prefer to make Ford tuning for example or to buy something in a Michelin tires store instead of buying a new gold pendant for you”.
I had pretty the same opinion: cars change people and their lives, because they took a lot of time and money. I didn’t want to change something in my life and I didn’t want my wife to suffer.
But nearly a month ago my wise wife found a way out. One day I found her surfing on the Internet sites about bicycles and sites which offer different Dirt bike brakes for sale. At first I didn’t understand my wife’s idea, but then…
In a few weeks we bought two bicycles - for me and my beloved wife. We use them for half a year now and we don’t have any problems like repairs and so on that would certainly exist if we bought a car. We are really satisfied with our purchase because we have solved the problem of covering long distances, saved a lot of money, but what is more important - we’ve preserved good relations in our family!
